‘New look’ for our Open Access and Public Libraries pages on Library Services

Posted on 31/01/24

Our guide to Open Access resources and Public Libraries on the Library Service page has a new look! There are now separate tabs, one for Open Access Research and another for Public Libraries.

What’s New?
As well as our detailed printed guides to accessing and using Open Access resources on the web, and to joining and making use of  public libraries in the vicinity of DGHE, each page now has easy-to-navigate tables with a summary of information about recommended Open Access platforms or libraries. Clicking on the logo for each resource or library will take you directly to the website.

How to Get Started?

Navigate to our Library Services page on the Student Hub and head straight for the Open Access Research tab or the Public Libraries tab. Open each tab to see our recommendations.

The Description section in each table will also contain some links that you might find useful – in the case of Public Libraries, you may be able to search the catalogues of these libraries online without being a member, and there may also be extra information available about making your application to join a library, such as any additional documents that may be required.
