National Careers Week 2025
Posted on 04/03/25
This week is National Careers Week, so it’s the perfect time to reflect on all the hard work you’re putting into your studies and how it can shape your future career.
Think back to why you started your course in the first place. Was it just to learn something new? Or was it because you wanted to build a career that excites you, improves your financial situation, and gives you a real sense of purpose? For most students I speak to, it’s that last reason that truly drives them.
The good news? There are plenty of opportunities waiting for you once you graduate. Whether you’re studying Public Services, Digital Technology, Health & Social Care, or Business, there’s a route for you to take your next big step.
What Are Graduate Schemes?
Graduate schemes are structured training programmes offered by companies and organisations to help recent graduates transition into professional roles. They’re often designed to fast-track you into junior management or specialist positions, with hands-on training, mentorship, and career progression built in. Many large employers offer them, and they can be an incredible way to kickstart your career.
